The objective of the project was to create art and fabrication studios while preserving the historic facade of the tilt-up concrete warehouse. The design provides for two separate circulation paths throughout the building where artists can be watched during work as if the process of creating art is on display, yet they will not be disturbed by observers. The building includes rental spaces for start-up fabrication businesses and also shared fabrication facilities and classes for local artists and students.
